The First Torppa Meeting in Raitoo 3-4 August 2002

The meeting was kept in Pexi's farm. The first one is the main building that still consists of original construction but enlarged several times. Second one is former cowshed but now used as wine cellar, sauna, and hand work area. The third one is summer house.

Breakfast was served in the summer house.

The sahti taxi (well, actually Pexi) operates.

Visiting the Finlandia Sahti factory. The upper container in the middle picture is used to boil the mixture of barley and rye malt with water. The lower one is used to separate liquid stuff spiced with juniper. Normal baking yeast is used to fermet.

Of course, the EU nominated national heritage food needed to be tested too. We tried the 8% version, although 11% stuff was also available.
